Hello, everyone and Happy Monday! Today's post is an exciting one for me and I hope everyone loves it just as much as I do. I'm proud to announce that right below is an exclusive Yellow Birdd Vintage photo shoot from one of our favorite photographers, Megan Leonard. I first wrote about Megan and her amazing photography back in September (you can check out our first post here). Well, we hit it off and she agreed to do a photo shoot just for us! I received the photos a few days ago and I have to say, I couldn't love them more! Without further ado, meet Megan Leonard and our pretty, pretty pictures.
Questions We Asked Megan-
Where do you live? Currently, I live in a small town in Mid-Michigan. In January I'm moving to New York City with my best friend Kali, who is also the main girl that I take photos of. How old are you?
I'm eighteen years old.
What made you get into photography?
I got my first camera for my seventh birthday. It was a Crayola camera that you could take 4"x6", 5"x7" or Panoramic photos with. I started taking photos from then on. I mainly took Panoramic photos of my cats. Recently, I found that camera. I think I may start to use it again.
What are your favorite things to photograph?
People! I like to take Fashion Portraits as well as Environmental Portraits.
What kind of camera do you use?
I use an Olympus OM-1 at the moment.
Tips, secrets and/or rules to live by in your world of photography?
Always focus on the face! Or in tough situations, at least attempt to. Also do not follow the rule of thirds!!!! It's silly, and it makes photos look worse! And lastly, candid angles and "vintage" colors are ugly. There are no exceptions.

Blue top and white sweater are in the shop!
Top 3 favorite movies?
I only have one: The Princess Bride. It was my mom's favorite movie that became mine, as we watched it together over and over, since I was little.
Top 3 favorite bands?
Only three? I'm not sure I have a top three. There's too many to choose from! That being said, what's on the CD in my car right now is: Carla Bruni, Bon Iver, Why?, Seabear, Modest Mouse, Owen and Joanna Newsom.
Favorite book?
I've read quite a bit of books, but I have no favorite. I'm too indecisive to pick one. Though, I just bought Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World by Haruki Murakami per recommendation from my boyfriend. Maybe I'll end up liking it best!
Favorite color?
Any type of complimentary colors together have always been my favorite. I really like neutral colors as well.
Any guilty pleasures?
Okay okay, you got me. I read all the Sookie Stackhouse novels, and I loved them! I'm dying for more!
Some of your favorite blogs?
I don't keep up with a ton of blogs. Most of the people I follow on Tumblr are my friends. But I will admit that I wish I knew Alexi Wasser of Imboycrazy.com in real life.
